Celtics take 3-1 lead with 118-107 win over Mavericks

Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown lead Boston's scoring

Jayson Tatum scored 32 points and Jaylen Brown added 25 as the Boston Celtics took a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference finals with a 118-107 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. Tatum made five of nine 3-pointers and grabbed eight rebounds, while Brown added seven rebounds and five assists. Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 30 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Celtics' balanced attack.

Celtics pull away in the fourth

The Celtics led by just six points at the end of the third quarter, but they pulled away in the fourth. Tatum and Brown each scored eight points in the final period, and the Celtics hit 10 of 13 from the free-throw line to seal the win. The Mavericks never got closer than six points in the fourth quarter.

Celtics one win away from NBA Finals

The Celtics are now one win away from advancing to the NBA Finals. They will host the Mavericks in Game 5 on Wednesday night. A win in that game would send the Celtics to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010. The Mavericks will be looking to avoid elimination and force a Game 6 back in Dallas.
